Is that what they are called? I keep getting that name confused. But its aft of the quarter by the decklid. To be honest i just caught on that 3 nuts later they come off.

[IMG]Round 8 of hood blocking.. either its that bad or im doing something very wrong. Had an issue with my scary freight paint gun from the 1st go round of spraying. Now its completely unadjustable. Feeling frustrated, it had to die.. anyone have a decent paint gun for sale?

More progress .. hood turned out decent after days of chasing high and low spots. Its nice to have it all one color again and get a fresh look. Hit it with epoxy again since there were many large bare metal spots, then 2 heavy coats of 2k primer. Looks much better  and I got to use my new Devilbiss Flg4-670 finishline spray gun!

Made good progress today, after another coat of high build, the entire body and hood are blocked and ready for paint! Now just need to finish the fenders and Ill have some color on.

My wife asked me today when the car will be finished. Shes very supportive, but apparently she is tired of having parts scattered in the spare room and her parking space :D

Thanks Rusty! Hopefully in the next few postings I'll have something decent to say.. like "look at the shiny new paint!"

Well, no paint.. But new fender patches are on! Big thanks to Tim Carson for supplying me with the sheetmetal. Hoping for paint in the 3rd or 4th week of May, wetsand and buff in June, with some reassembly in the mix. Maybe the car will make it to BPG this year.

Really great work! It never ceases to amaze me what some of you guys are getting done at home, someday I'll get enough inspiration to strip my car down to steel, hopefully I'll find a garage helper too :TU:

Thanks! You can do it! I would say that the 1st step is the hardest.. but it's all an equal pain in the rear. You have to start somewhere
