Ok so every year for Christmas I get my grandfather a die cast car of some sort. This year while browsing the gift shop at a local car museum I spot an orange '55 Buick Century hot-rodded 1:18 die cast. It's taken me this long to realize that I should be getting him die cast versions of his cars. Before I go on with this story/question I will tell you that he has a '56 Century hot rod. It's a candy orange color on top of the trim and a darker color on bottom. The orange on the die cast was extremely close to his color but the bottom was way off. So i took it to the guy who painted his car and had him paint the bottom to perfectly match my grandfather's car and I surprised him with that for Christmas. Now I would like to keep that up for Christmas every year and maybe his birthday as well until I have all of his cars done. My question is...Where is the best site to find die cast Buicks? I've looked hard but never found his cars or even years close enough to his. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places or maybe they just don't make his cars in die cast versions. Any help would be very greatly appreciated. Thanks.
I actually found that site with one of my google searches but it didn't have any of the cars I needed. He's got a '30 roadster, '39, '42 Roadmaster, '50 convertible, '57 Roadmaster convertible, '63 wildcat convertible but it looks like this now and I figured I may be able to recreate that if I get crafty and melt it a little before I have it painted. This is is '56 Century... And here's how the die cast came out... The die cast picture is just a crappy picture. The lower color is an exact match. The top is off a little but he liked it all the same.

Thanks for the help. I don't need the exact model of his...just something close enough that would look like his with some paint matching. One of the '39s in the brooklinmodels would work for fantastic but that's A LOT of money to just paint over the car. And some of those '57s should work. His has red on top and white on bottom. I believe that to be the original colors too which he said is more rare? Don't quote me on that though...

Oh that's a good idea. I'll definitely keep that in mind. Nice Riv. I've loved the boattail cars ever since I came across one on Craigslist and knew absolutely nothing about it. It's just so different from anything else... I don't know if you've ever seen the movie Crank with Jason Statham or not but there's a pretty badass one in that movie until he wrecks it.
