Do I need to put seam sealer here? Windshield/Dash seam.

    Hi folks,

    Please see the pic. Do I put sealer on this seam between the dash and lower windshield/cowl frame? Thanks.

    It wouldn't hurt, but not really as the windshield Urethane will provide the seal.

    If you do, push it in tight and minimal, cut a plastic spreader down to a 1in wide and use it to pull the excess off. May want to hammer and dolly it flat first

    I looked through the photos of a a '67 I just parted out to see. I tried to document where seam sealer was used. It looks like hugger is right: the windshield glue seals that area but I think a little seam sealer wouldn't hurt. The best photo I could find is below:

    That seam is on the interior side of the windshield, so sealer isn't necessary.
    But you do want to make it look nice since you might see it thru the windshield.
