    Paul,

Just talked to my son Billy. Glad you two were able to met up. They are doing good so far. It will be a challenge to be able to keep up the pace with all the rules. At least for now all your racing for is the time slip & not the guy next to you. Kinda' takes some of the pressure off. Kinda. They got to talk with Finnegan as he was walking around talking to everyone. Hopefully they can meet more Buick guys like Jacob & Mike P. If you see them please say HI!!!!!
I'm gonna try & make it to Attco on Wed. & drive down with my other son Tommy. Hopefully he can re-arrange his schedule to get the day off.
Still lookin' for a ride to Cecil to share costs, etc. in a couple weeks.

Whats the best way to find folks in the pits? I assume everyone is in a hurry to leave after their run and would like to catch up with the Buick faithful! I hope to get to MIR Thursday!

Today it rained and delayed us for a few hours. They check their radar and see it it'll clear in time or not then go from there.

When he ran at tbe Hot Rod Reunion at NewEngland years ago, the announcer couldn't stop talkin bout the wagon.
Pics are nice , but I got to see it in person and it does not disappoint. Jim

Paul blew a freeze out plug at the top end of the track. Hopefully it did not crack a cylinder like we did at Quaker this year with just 2 passes on a fresh block! Stay tuned for details. Hope Jacob is doing well with his 73 Stage 1. Good luck to all the Buicks racing at Drag Week

    Whew! That's good news!
I noticed that they shut the lanes down for a while but no cleanup...just water.

He turned in the time slip, so hopefully got it plugged back up without further issues.

I used a copper expansion plug with an acorn nut on the outside to replace my block heater that rusted and fell out.

I went down to Attco this early AM with my other son Tommy to watch Billy & his Friend Dave run the Mustang. We got there around 7:15 AM. We were looking for Paul, but didn't see him. Saw Jacob M. make a run. Looked for Mike P. & didn't see him either. Found out that even # 700 on the waiting list made it so I was hoping Mike P. would have made it because he was in the 600-700 waiting list whereas Jacob was 25-100. ANYBODY who was on the waiting list got in. Then they started letting in whoever showed up. We left a little before noon & I didn't see anymore Buick's there.
My son Billy & his friend Dave with the Mustang were still in the running. There were 32 cars in their class & this morning there were ONLY five left. Since they went too fast this am they are now out of the running so they are going to see how fast they CAN make it. The break-out was 8.15 on a 8.50 class. Attco again proves it is as fast as Cecil. It's too bad they ran too fast because in Virginia they had it dialed in pretty good with a string of 8.508's. They had to do some de-tuning because they were running 8.01's at 170MPH. They wanna break into the 7's now then they'll go home if the track doesn't kick them out 1st. for going TOO FAST. I asked about what Hot Rod would do & they don't care if you run 5's. It's up to the track personal.

Paul took the charger off so he doesn't hurt the motor & just to be able to finish drag week

Thank you guys. Just thought I'd give everyone following an update. Paul and I were on our way to the hotel last night. We got to our check point at an old gas station and hung out for a little bit. We get ready to leave and Paul's wagon starts knocking pretty bad. Pulled the valve covers and the rockers looked ok. Next were the spark plugs and number 7 piston came up and hit the spark plug. Rob Giroux got Paul's scope and looked inside the cylinder and you could see something sitting on top of the piston. Afterwards they tried to spin the crank with a breaker bar and it would freeze after a certain point. Unfortunately there was nothing else that could be done so Paul called his brother who lived 45 minutes away from where we were to bring his truck and trailer. After a little bit I went off to the hotel.

Sorry to hear about Paul's problem. Glad to hear though that Jacob's GS is one of the top ten picks out there. Good luck the rest of the way Jacob.

Thank you John. Tomorrow is the final day. Just gonna make a pass or two then head back home after awards.

It was really cool that my car was announcer Brian Lohnes' top ten favorite cars of Drag Week.

Just that right there was a BIG HONOR to be mentioned as a top ten favorite.

Maybe some of the guys with Hot Rod will also take notice.

Good luck the rest of the way Jacob!!!!!!
