Early pointed gauge

    This question has probably been answered before. But here it go's Is there any difference in the letters in an early pointed rally gauge an A late 70 an 71-72 I know there's a difference in the speedo and maybe the tach your help would be greatly appreciated.

    From what I remember I believe so
    I will be checking later this morning after church and breakfast and a quick cruise by a local car show

    I know (like you do) about the speedometer, not sure about the rally gauge. I can take a pic of my early rally gauge if that helps. I am interested also.

    Joe, Talked to Nick Serwo today he said the early pointed gauges letters are larger than the late 70 through 72 gauge. Hopefully this will help.

    70 gauges came in both pointed (early) and flat (later) lenses. 70 gauges had taller fonts. My Jan 70 build came with tall font and flat lenses.

    71 and later came in flat lenses, and smaller font.

    Any photos comparing tall letter gauges to the smaller letter gauges? I would like to verify that my early build 1970 with pointed lenses does indeed have the taller letters. Thanks.
