There is a mention in this post that Ford Red color is not correct.

I used Duplicolor DH1608 for my 455 which is now discontinued but also identified as Ford Red.

So I am just asking wasn't this mention on this forum many times that DH1608 is as close to our original buick red color?

I agree...at first glance I wanted to pimp-slap the shop owner. He's more of a Pontiac guy. I was just thankful to get the car back. The block was in the shop for about 3-4 months, and had the works done on it.

Now that I've got the ignition/fuel system redone, the 430 purrs like a kitten. I may lift the engine out again one day and rattle-can it, but I've got no plans to trailer it to any concourse events. This Buick's my #1 driver, now and forever. I have a few cans of Buick Red from Eastwood...seemed to match the original paint pretty well.

This same question has been asked and answered countless times before !! LOL
Dupli-Color DE1653 RED is as good as it gets, and available just about anywhere for a reasonable price.
DO NOT use Duli-Color FORD RED ((CDE1605), its waaaaay too Orange, and you will be ridiculed by the Buick purists !!

. . . someday - I'm gonna do me the rest of the engine, maybe next year ? :TU:
