32 out of 35.Diesels don't use glow plugs to run and WTF is a gudgeon pin? Its an "axle" for a transom mounted rudder on a sailboat to pivot on. Oh well... ws

34 out of 35 and I disagree with the answer to the one that I missed (poppet vs sliding valves). Most steam engines used them and they sealed well.

These quizzes are pretty stupid. Seems like the people writing them dont know anything about the subject they are working on. Thing that gets me the most on doing these that pop up in my Facebook feed is the time it takes to complete, pages that take forever to load, the advertising all over every page ( the main reason they offer the quiz) and the sheer number of questions, as many as 75 on some. Most of the time I'll bail before the end.

    EXACTLY!
I got tired and bailed, too long to load, the questions were stupid, the answer choices were dumb.

Yer right John... 1-2-4-3 on a REAL 4 banger. I'm glad the "tester" didn't toss Globe valve in the one question. That's one I missed haha. Shouldve been the firing order on a TWO BANGER. ws

31 of 35 here. I agree with the 4 banger firing order question and a couple of the others mentioned. IMHO the honing questions was another. You need a good piston and oil ring seal. That in turn will control oil consumption.

31 out of 35; - misread a few questions, oh well...
I guess I don't know enough about diesels, and that's because I don't need to, I have a Buick gasoline engine that'll out-pull most diesels anyway!

The terminology was not standard at all. If they'd used desmodromic instead of sliding. Some of them I just picked from the one I didn't know if the others were obviously wrong.

    Me too, process of elimination.
Never heard of the piston pin being called whatever they called it:rolleyes:
