Hey guys I am having a problem with the temperature gauge in my 55 special it has the 264 nailhead. The gauge is not moving off the cold mark. Is this a mechanical gauge or is it an electric sending unit? Where is the port in the block that holds the temp sensor??

The sensor is on the back side of the driver's side cylinder head (left side nearest the firewall)

it's a mechanical gauge, bulb and tube are one piece..
