ever seen this clip on your engine before?

  1. I removed the intake manifold of a 65 Buick engine last week and when I pulled the kickdown apart there was an anti rattle clip located on the pivot for the kickdown switch. I've pulled apart many 65-67 engines and never saw one before. I asked a friend who restores Buicks and was a dealer tech back in the day and he's never seen one. I did find it in the chassis manual though. anybody else ever find one of these?

  3. i'm guessing they fall out the first time the pin is pulled and it's never noticed because of the color and size of the clip

They ALL have them from the factory with the switch pitch kick down. '65-'66 & also I believe on '67. It's an anti-rattle clip & controls play in the down shift lever.
