Since my dash is gutted('71 Riv) and I have a parts car AND the heat is coming quick, I want to swap 'em out. It looks like I need to switch the controls and the in car "box" inside the fire-wall. I can't seem to locate the attachment points. Also right now the "dual diaphram" that controls air flow to the windshield (def.) is broke. I cannot see how this is attached as well.

I've been told that the a.c.c. never did work right . Anything else needs to be taken into account? I'm worried I'l break something (AGAIN!!! :af: ) 98% and 100% humidity won't be fun as this is my daily driver. Any help or advice or tips would be awesome!!!!!! :beer

    Jason,
My '71 Chassis Manual shows a few details, not sure if you will need more info..
The AC programmer is behind the glove box, secured to the firewall plenum by three screws. Two on lower edge & one on upper portion of LH edge. They thread into formed bosses similar to a Skylark grill mtg. stud.
An 8 pin wiring connector from the dash harness plugs in here as well as a nine port circular vacuum tube assembly.
Can't tell from the diagrams where/how the defrost actautor is secured. Look for dark blue & yellow striped vacuum tubes going to the same place.
