Anyone recommend a shop or person on the board that can repair and restore a 68 GTO AM/FM radio and amp?

    Thanks.

I just sent one to Robert Pacini based upon recommendations here. Haven’t received it yet, but will post results in a week or so. Precision Stereo Repair, Utica, NY.

Update: I sent a factory ‘68 AM/FM to Robert; he did general repair and service (seven capacitors, realign and paint pointer, new dial light, etc), sound improvement (more bass and treble) and the auxiliary input. Quick turn around, plays great, AUX works great. All in all I’m very pleased-cost $250 plus shipping.

    Patrick,

How does the auxiliary work? By connecting to your mobile device via bluetooth? Is that what you're inferring by auxiliary?

I need to get this done...

It’s a patch cord with a female headphone jack. With that (made to the customer’s requested length) he provides a double ended, expanding connector that will plug into your music source. You switch the radio to AM and you have music! He says it goes in straight through the volume knob, not the antenna. If you want Bluetooth you’ll need to buy a $20 or so device that receives it and connects via a jack. Wallyworld sells them.
