Jim, The only reason I'm not upset is I'll be lucky if my car is ready a year from now. More like 5 years from now.I'm sure they will get me a set sooner or later. And at least they did call me to let me know they weren't coming.
Hey guys,sorry but I deleted my rants on this. Just got back from the Doctors office and my blood pressure was 174 over 111 and set off the alarms even when they tried it a second time...... So I don't need this stuff on these mats, hacking me off and stressing me out even more. I am sure they know this is not how this should have been handled and me fussing about it here does zero good, except to get me more upset. Ya'll have a nice week-end I'm getting the hell out of here

I must say, My BUICK will always wear the fruit of your efforts, and I will continue to be sure that no one is allowed to place their dirty shoes on Your Floor Mats! I think about you every time I wipe the dust off them and admire your contribution to the BUICK family! As for the production issues and so forth, that is not your matter! CARS remaking the original floor mats again? Rubber may mean they are not simply selling the Legendary mats. I remember CARS saying they had no plans to make their repros again. That figures I expected CARS would start making the mats again after someone else went to the trouble of doing it. But since a powerhouse like Legendary made the mats instead of a small company I thought CARS might be deterred. They recently joined our group here. Bert
I have been waiting for mine since October.ave had a few calls from them advising of delay. They phoned about a week ago or so to say MAYBE in early Feb...Car is bundled for winter, no big deal. Hey, at least they were nice enough to call and give a heads up. A lot of places would not bother. :3gears:
David those appear to be the same old pics that have been on their site for years. Maybe CARS reused them for a new run. I have one of their sets from the old run. The white in the mats is not correct. I am curious if they corrected this and I thought there may be a color pic of the new ones. Anyone have one from the new run?
Yes, we gather that but there are no new pics. The ones posted appear to be the same black and white outlines posted for years. Their last run of these rubber mats had a defect in the white. If we had a good, updated, color pic it might suggest whether this was corrected for this run.
They stopped making them years ago. Had yellow logos too and smelled funny (so I heard). That was why the big effort to get some done, they are here, no doubt most places will be re-selling them as their own now as well.
Jeff, First off nice looking mats. I've got to say I am a little torn over the issue of high jacking the thread that was for the group order for Legendary that we've been working on for a year though. I'm not going to worry about it too much as I am still waiting on my mats though and really about over the whole thing now. In the end I am about what is good for our Buicks so I guess having another supplier can only help us all but just not wild about not fulfilling the committment made to Legendary as this was a post for orders for them (that convinced them to proceed) and now the people on this thread are seeing the nice mats you have and may cancel. Just hate for any manufacturer to be promised a certain level of orders and then get stiffed no matter who it is because Buicks don't have the amount of suppliers as many brands do. I am glad you decided to make thesse again though,in our original threads on the mats some of the guys approached your people as our first source but they kept being discouraged of them being made in their calls, so we moved to Legendary for help and there has been allot of work and money spent to start from scratch making these again. Anyhow I am more dazed by this all than anything. We have gone from no one making our mats to two companies competing for these orders here that are supposed to be Legendary's orders.o No:
Its comparing apples and oranges. The mats are very different in alot of ways. Yes we promised and made a commitment to Legendary, but Legendary has a commitment to provide them as well. My credit card was charged in August and I have yet to get a set delivered. How much longer do I wait before I call for a refund?
Hi Jeff, they look very nice. Curious on the style that is for earlier cars or...?? You are going to find that taking pictures of black mats is very tough. If you want to show the details, use natural lighting but not harsh midday sun, preferably from the side to highlight details then a camera on a tripod with no flash...(tripod needed for longer exposure required without flash) :laugh: Anyway, my mistake, I had thought people were talking about the old CARS mats. Seems like we either have none or more than needed with our Buicks...:laugh:
Main thing I am talking about Jason is this is a thread specifically for orders for Legendary that caused them to green light the production and I don't think it is right to go on this thread with another product of any type. I'm tired of waiting also and have made no secret about that here or to Legendary but my main thrust here is not to leave a bad taste in any manufacturers mouth that has gone to the lengths they have to make these and I don't think that is unreasonable to expect.
Not sure how (or by who) the CARS post was removed by but thank you for honoring the fact that in 4 days this thread will have a years worth of work and orders on it for the first company to step up for us on reproducing our mats. It also represents research and locating a supplier that goes back to April of 2006. I am sure there is enough business to go around though. Just want to make sure everything is fair across the board. I'll be calling Legendary today to see what the projected shipping date will be for the mats not shipped yet. I am sure they will be worth the wait.:TU: In the end it is all good for our Buicks
Hey Lee, Good to hear from ya man. Yep, you've been in this from the start too. Yes, it is going to be a big plus for big cars also as this is the application for CARS mats (probably work in mid size though? Never had a set just know the style) and this was what I was going to work on with Legendary next so this will save the trouble on making those. Were LOTS of different style mats made for different applications from floor mounted to suspended gas pedals, to mats with flaps to be cut off (full size) or flap delete (for 1966 back) and then the notched type (up at top) when the steering columns were lowered closer to the floor board.Then there are different dimmer switch styles. As it is been in the past though as we researched all of this, there is no correct style as these were optional accessories supplied in a huge variety, main thing comes down to fit. Anyhow, I am very happy to see CARS is filling one of the gaps with there mat also, they look very nice .
Got a call from Eric at Legendary today. He asked me to extend his apologies to everyone that has been so patiently waiting. He said the delays have been very frustrating for them also, including a recent accident where one of their people broke a mold that is having to now be redone. When I asked him about a projected shipping date he said rather than speculate on that he just wants to encourage everyone that they are continuing to work through the delays, but not in any form that will affect the quality of the mats. He said he just wants them to be right after all this. It was nice to at least hear he is just as frustrated as us, rather than forgotten us. He didn't go into all the other details but summed it up with "This has just been a VERY involved project". Was glad to hear he hasn't forgotten about yours truly on my set too, but sounds like I was added on after the pre order folks so ya'll will be seeing them first most likely.
