It's too bad that they aren't (weren't) more forthcoming with their manufacturing problems. Charging people's cc's and not shipping for months is inexcusable.

I am only 45 minutes away. If I need to make a road trip with Knuckles to get the skinny, let me know.

    Bob,

Heh heh save those knuckles for another battle, but thanks. A couple of weeks ago I might have gone with you when I was told my order got put in after EVERYONE else and I was the one that helped make it happen for them!!!!

    I was like WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!????????????:af:

On the credit card I don't think there were but a couple peoples card that were charged in advance (couple rouge salemen?).

Yeh, Eric is in charge of customer relations and he was really cool about saying he didn't blame us all for being p.o.'d about the wait and all but I could really tell he was ragged out over it all too so I didn't press it.

Said he might try and move me up the list if he can also:Brow: but I ain't holdin my breath if ya know what I mean:laugh:

I just wanted to say that my floor mats arrived today. Thats the good news...

The bad news is that on two of the mats, the white Buick emblem bled onto the tan. I hate to complain, but it doesnt look very nice. I expected a little better quality control. Does anyone else's mats look like this? One one pictured is the worse of the two.

Jason, Those do look rough. What color mat is that? It looks like a match to my Sandalwood.

Seems like I remember some original mats over the years that looked a little off center and the white got in the colored portion of the circle.

Yeh, let us know what they say though...............

Glad you got them though and the color does look nice:TU:

I am kinda surprised they would produce a floor mat which looks like that after all the support this board shows on getting the correct mats produced. Kinda sad:(

No such issue with my black mats. I'd suggest contacting them to exchange and insist they inspect the repl set for similar issues.

Andrew, I'm pretty certain the majority of the mats sent out do not have that defect. Mine do not. Looks like a case of an inadequate inspection process. Not all mfgrs will inspect every single item that comes off a production line, they check random samples, most likely.

Thanks makes sense, didn't know he was the first to experience problems.

Ah:Dou: I was going to post a couple pics of my friends black and gray set for comparision (look great!) but something must still be wrong with the site as it won't let me browse and attach pictures (just stays on the browse screen).

Maybe later on I can post them

I have to be honest, something like that wouldn't bother me one bit. I didn't even look at my mats that carefully.:Do No:

Okay, now it is working posting pics).

I saw a place on the Tri Shield on one of his but it was very minor and once in the floorboard it was completely unnoticable.

    I'll give them a 99.9% on his:TU:

That detail inside the 3 shields was one thing they were working very hard on, and I think they came out very nice

My mats are excellent, no problems. I would call them up and explain the issue, they'll make it right.

Was taking my original 38 year old factory Tri Shield mats out of my convertible today and decided to examine them as close as I did the Legendary's and a couple of the originals were actually worse!

Seems like everyone (even from "back in the day") can have a few that the white doesn't get centered perfectly on.

Thought I remembered seeing this before..............

Is most everyone satisfied with the quality of these legendary mats? I've been looking for 4 years for a set of original mats for my '62 Electra. One set that was corrrect I found on ebay I lost at the last second of the auction. I looked at the proto types they had at the GS Nationals in Bowling Green last year, they aren't quite what was used in the early 60's full size cars and seemed kind of thin. I saw them advertised recently in the Old Car Weekly paper for sale, they must have a few sets left. Are most people satisfied with these mats?
