Kilkm, Here is my set of Legendary mats in my 1960 Electra 225. Still haven't mounted my gas pedal that I finally just left off (just kept falling off because of bad mount) but they even clear my floor mounted factory radio seek button so I am real happy. You are correct that they are lighter but that is due to better materials being available these days (materials are all from USA on these also and have been tested down to 40 degrees below zero so believe me they are high quality). Anyhow here are some pictures and you can decide for yourself. Really like mine:TU:
Quality was okay on the set I bought, but they were way off on the red color--their dark red is really bright red and their red is more like orange. I had to send them back and get a refund--and they charged me a 35% restocking fee saying it wasn't their problem.
I ordered a dark blue set and a black set back about mid December. Dark blue set came in about a month ago. VERY dark blue, but 100% satisfactory IMHO, high quality, and heavy and thick material. Very nice. Still waiting on my black set.
I had contact with a person at Lengendary about buying a set of Buick mats during their last sale event they had the other day. He quoted me a $175.50 price. Sounded good but when I wrote back asking if they were in stock and ready to ship I didn't get an answer. I want a set, but after hearing all the stories here for the past few months I just let the sale slip on by. Will wait for the guys here to start saying they received their mats that were paid for months ago and then order. Hoping that will be very soon. Jim
I got mine last week. But I ordered the wrong color. I needed tan but wasn't sure it would match so I got black but it doesn't look right in the car.
Got my black set last week, Look very nice, but now my cars ball joints went South so won't be driving around enjoying my mats till I save up for replacement parts. In the meantime they'll sit beside me here at the computer in their "Official GM Licensed" box (have a new appreciation for how hard it is to get that licensing now!ou: ". Well, hope everyone else starts getting their's soon, it has been a looooooooooooooooong wait, but I'm very happy with mine. Haven't been around here much, hope everyone is doing well. Fritz out
For those wo do not want to wait Cars is now selling the correct style mats again but in black only. I think they are $200
Dave, Those are some nice mats, but for later model full size cars when the steering box was moved forward (lowered column position), thus requiring the notch they have on theirs. Not correct for the GS's though.
Congrats John. I'm happy to see you finally recieved yours. Only 14 months. I'm sure you now have an appreciation of what it takes to get "any part" reproduced to correct specs. and finding a vendor willing to go through the trouble and expense. My hat is off to you and Legendary. (Been dealing with them since they were a 3 man operation.) Gee, wanna help trying to get Buick 350 parts made?ou:
Bill, Thanks but I believe I'll retire for awhile on helping manufacturer stuff:laugh: Was a learning experience but really burns the candle at both ends to do it right. Just out of curiosity what 350 Buick parts are you looking to get done? Anyhow thanks for the kind words, and sounds like with your long relationship, that you know real well what a quality group of guys that is at Legendary. Might have taken awhile but MAN these things look nice:TU:
