This thread has been a great help, read through it a few times. Putting the finishing touches on my Fitech 600hp with a Tanks Inc setup. Fired on the first crank. Found a fuel leak at the tank but that should be fixed up tonight. Now just need to wait for the snow to disappear to get some miles on it.

Well, after 6 years, I decided to move on from FITECH and try the new MSD Atomic 2 EFI. The Atomic 2 is Holley sniper based software but with a different TB than the sniper. I went to the Atomic 2 because I could never get the FItech to correctly control my nitrous. I was also hoping to get better start up and idle control with the Atomic.

finished the first install and did initial test drive today.

    First impressions:
Quality of product: winner Atomic2. The exception is the handheld screen (same as Holley sniper). Fitech handheld screen is bigger and easier to navigate. TB quality and wiring quality Atomic is better. I also like the fact the injectors are external and serviceable. I also like the fact the Atomic is 1/8 inch shorter than the fitech which helps with good clearance.

Ease of install: winner Atomic 2, but not by much. The wiring is better laid out IMO, but the instructions and descriptions are not as good. Just like with the Fitech, I had to go online and look at the more detailed install manuals (for the sniper) to get some required details.

Start up: winner Atomic. I was never able to get the fitech to start with single prime on first try. Yes, I tried every config adjustment available. The Atomic 2 started first try……even without setting IAC idle screw. Once I set IAC when hot, car primes and fires every time.
Drivability: TBD, but atomic does a better job with Air Con adjustment and idle control so far. Cruise and WOT feel similar between both.
    Nitrous control: TBD

negative: the atomic 2 reads 15 degrees high on temp. I never had this issue with the fitech (although I know many have with fitech and sniper, but they usually read low??). Will have to research how to fix.

any specific reason you took the Atomic over the SNIPER? i have the Super Sniper with full timing control ( hyperspark) it just works.

I liked the throttle body design of the MSD with externally accessible injectors better. That is why I went with it.
