Why are the throttles closed? No wonder your cars are slow lol!

    Did you upgrade your alternator?

I have the efi go 600 with the in-tank fuel pump. I had some bugs to work out. Went with a bigger battery, then went with a 120 amp alternator.

Did you run your power directly to the battery?

And for what it’s worth...I’ve had to call FITech customer service twice. Both times got through immediately and they were very helpful. Fixed my issue lickity split. Not sure why people are ragging on FITech...best upgrade I ever made.

Not so much ragging, just no apparent need to make a move from traditional carburetion is all.

I can go out right now pump that gas 2 times and the car starts like fuel injection with that SP3 No choke no nothin
Just sits there and idle It did the exact same thing after sitting all winter last year.
Holley 750 dbl. pumper 25 years old cost, 350 bucks.

If the system works as it should then it should be a no brainer on fixing it.

The OP has not given any more feed back. I should not have to be calling FiTech to figure out why the system is not working on my car but as with anything else now days you have to go to the internet and search forever on books or information on fixing the equipment that is supposed to work when installing it, or maybe a troubleshooting section that comes with the system.

X2, fuel injection IS cool, but the fuel injection their selling to easily replace your “rickety old carburetor “ is nothing more than throttle body injection, it gives the younger crowd a chance to update their classic and tune it with a hand held.
Port injection or even better, direct injection now where talking!
Us older guys are just used to carburetors, they’re simple, they work, and they deliver the fuel as well as any throttle body, probably better being they’re mechanical.
Electronics are cool, but they complicate stuff.
Things are complicated enough as they are:eek::p:D

Yeah and these generic FI companies are trying to convince the world anything with a carb is a ticking time bomb and barely reliable enough to drive it to the store. It's obnoxious.

It really is, their just trying to capitalize on people’s fear of the unknown (carburetors)
Same as these radio and TV commercials selling nasal cleaners, where you suction the boogers and gross stuff outta your nose so your nose doesn’t harbor any diseases

Although a properly tune carb can run as well as a TBI fuel injection. Unless you have an electric fuel pump cold starts are better with fuel injection. Especially after sitting a week or two in the garage. If you need a complete fuel system an entry level fuel injection isn’t much more money. Especially when you add the cost of jets etc for tuning.

No way. A carb is a third of the cost. Jets are cheap!

Cold starts are fine with a carb. Just realize it will have to crank 5-10 seconds. Which doesn't hurt a thing. Whats the problem with that?

Depends on what you are doing. I will never go back to a carb for my blow through application. I have installed two on blow through applications and they work great. For blow through the throttle body is better than port injection because you get the cooling effect of the fuel vaporizing in the manifold.

I really don't buy that, I have had this Buick with the 350 since 77 and I had points in it along with choke and all that crap. That thing had to start at 10 below and still did not have a problem if you had that choke with the pulloff and the correct fast idle speed set up.
The trick was to have the biggest battery that would fit with the most reserve capacity available.
Started as fast as my Toyota with all the fuel injection.

My car now sits for weeks and can fire right up if it has two squirts off that Holley dbl. pumper...
    and will not stall. Guaranteed.

The 4150 Holley dbl. pump is 600$ 4 corner idle
The FiTech is at 900-1000$ and don't you need an electric fuel pump with this set up?

Summit mag says good for 400 hp

well don't those 350 Buicks put out more than that?

IMHO, Fuel injection was implemented by the OEM's strictly for emissions, they could control A/F on the fly with the advancing computing power.

i dont think he means cold starts as much as have to let them set in idle to get warm like you do or deal with the bog in power. mine will start but i cant go out and just floor it right after. efi does help with alot of that also most people have got 2 mpg better from efi. i dont have one yet personally. they do make 800 hp versions just depends on yhe injector size more or less. is alot more expensive though.

I have the Holley Super Sniper and currently building a 350 with all the good stuff from TA. Should be as strong as Mike Jr’s. With the 650 hp rating of Sniper I should have a comfortable reserve

yeah it seems like the sniper is the better product of the two
