I'm in the market for a front bumper for my 70 skylark (mine is slightly bent and some from is peeling).
I did not realize fiberglass bumpers where so inexpensive.
Any experience with WS Racing Fiberglass?
They are in my area and I could save on shipping.
    Any advice?

I can't speak from experience about their bumpers, but I did buy a pair of their doors last year. I was not happy with them! They were some of the roughest fiberglass parts that I ever saw. I realize that they are race parts and not street parts, but WOW, they were bad! They were also damaged from shipping so I had the chance to return them to FedEx and get my money back.
Like I said I can only speak from my experience with the doors. Perhaps the rest of their stuff is better? :Do No: Steve

    Dave,
I bought thier fiberglass front bumper for my 70 2 years ago. It comes very rough textured and definately needs to be smoothed out by a bodyman before being painted. My guy charged me $200 bucks to smooth it out and paint. It came out very nice.

    Question
I have never done body work of any sort. What would be involved with smoothing out a bumper.

    Dave,
Why not send you original to Desert Dog to be rechromed for $250?????
They are in the Chicago area. You can ship it by FedEx Ground for $15-18.
Return shipping to you is $50 which includes yards and yards of bubble wrap and protective cardboard. www.desertdogautoparts.com

Not a very good mold been doing body work for weeks getting them ready to send them out and have them chromed. The back Bumper isnt bad. The front Bumper isnt up to my standers. Check out Daves car from the driver side grille corner to the fender aliment. The bumper seems twisted. All there front 70 front bumper seem these way. You want to save weigh what you going to do the stock bumper is 29 pounds I took off areal nice chrome bumper that fit way better than the theglass bumper. We did alot of twisting around before we had it rechromed. I think alot of the bumpersgot beatup by tow trucks Check out the picture.
