Finally a serious street 350 guy! Low 12's video!

He already had custom pistons from Scott Brown with the iron heads running the 12.0's. He said it was 10.25:1 which is suprisingly low compression for how good it runs. That was last year. The TA heads were milled enough to get 11.5:1 currently.

The trans brake is a big reason for the launch.

Didn't Mike Jr run a 12.62 with SP3, irons, & roller cam? I think his combo was posted once, in another thread. Maybe it should be re-posted....

I subscribed but mustn't have hit the notifications bell.

So w/o any details, seems like .2 sec. from the heads (i know he had a lot of $ into his iron heads). If that's the case & considering the weight difference alone should be good for something... Hopefully he has some tuning to do to get more out of them &/or the conditions were such for one run or the other.

Consistent, another run loaded today was 11.96.
Lots of $$$ into both sets of heads it seems.

    Seems like a good move....
a bit more gear and 3,5k convertor would help...

Now my car is bbb so slightly different......but my 60fts are about the same on the tbrake all the way to 3800 as me footbraking at 2500......my lights are faster and more consistent on the tbrake

What ever floats your boat but I'd need to have it explained to me. Maybe add the aluminum heads to the turbo engine?

100+ cubes and probably more compression will do that.

He's taxing the suspension already, as the tire spin at the launch can be heard, and he's still actually pulling the RIGHT side tire off a little. No street 350's going to do that without help from the trans brake or way more stall/gear. I forget how Sonny's car looked when it launched back in its' heyday but this guy's gets up there with just about anybody's that isn't a race car. The car is good for another couple of tenth's with some suspension work and some crisp Fall air. At least an air bag pumped up on the right rear side or maybe an HR Parts n Stuff rear bar to level it out on launch. Actually when you look at his mph he's running some very good ET's. I guess that is what happens when you converter/gear it up well.

Check this thread out. I'm sure there have been some other fast 350's since then. People were dreaming of the aluminum heads back then and now we finally have at least some head to head comparison data on what the heads are worth. Lot's of talk since then and not much action.

    Oh I have a 3200 stall in my TH350
I would buy a converter for the 200r4 of course but have it drivable

I am very happy about sponsors for the alu heads. Btw they need CNC porting ;) another 1800$ to really have them outstanding.

Otherwise my ported iron heads flow close to the of the shelf alu heads I assume ;)

The idea to go NA is simplicity.
The car started out as a turd. Plan on building a street/ strip machine. Now it got to nice to take it to the strip.
+ I would appreciate more "reliable" family time with that car.
    That's why I consider it

I'm still glad I sold my twin turbo car because I was teetering on the edge of CRAZY. The guy I sold it to sold it for the same reason.

It really started pulling hard around 100 and would bury the speedometer around D2. With the giant DRs you could nail it at 30 and you better be pointed straight and hanging on,

I want a "fast for a 350 GS full weight, and AC, power everything that I can cruise on the highway and drive in the city and get stuck in traffic and not overheating or loading up" car:D

The teetering gets old. I am at the same point. But I am not selling it I consider to convert it back to NA.
