Finally get car together, just in time to have to leave for the summer

Got the motor and transmission in the car and running pretty good just a couple weeks ago. I've been able to pick up my son from school a couple times now and was looking forward to getting it out more this summer.

I started my new job this week in LE.
They got me a school date of next week to attend the federal law enforcement training center in Georgia. There goes summer. It's good though, I'm not complaining but it would have been nice to do a little something more with the car before storing it for 3 more months.

 

Congrats on your new job. So you'll be in Forsyth, Ga. for training, right? I pass by there a couple times a week. Not sure if you'll have evenings to get out but you'll need to travel south to Macon to find decent places to eat and things to do.

 

You'll still need a daily driver while you're there.

 

I drove my 70 GS almost every day to chiropractic school the entire time I lived in Marietta Georgia. I think you should go for it!

 

I'll be off weekends and I'm familiar with the North Florida area so I expect to spend some time there.
