    Hey guys,

So I did some searching on the forum and found some good info. but I didn't find anything about 255/60R15 on 15x7 rims for the front of my 71 skylark. Will that size rub?
I had my eyes set on 245/60R15. Seen a bunch of guys liking that set up.

    Thanks,
    David

I ran 255/60R15's on all four corners of my 71 Stage 1 on 15x7 wheels. The front would sometimes rub at full lock on uneven pavement. When they did, I would just back off from full lock a little. Never had a problem in normal driving.

Thanks for the info. I figured it may rub slightly on turns with bumps

I have been running the 255's on my car for at least 14 years. They have never rubbed, ever. Everything will depend on your cars suspension health. If your springs are fatigued and your shocks are shot, they may rub. I have never had a problem, but everything is in good enough shape on my car.

I will have fresh springs, so I believe the tires will do fine.
    Thanks for the input

How about 255R60 on the rear & 245R60 on the front?

I want to keep it the same all the way around. Easier to rotate and just keep it simple.

    Use the 255's all around.

  9. Here's my Skylark with 255/60/15s all the way around. Been on the car 12 years and never rubbed. [IMG]
