Hey guys, a previous owner deleted the firewall for the air conditioning and I wanted to get a reference of what was there. Here is an A-body car I found with the firewall square cut out. Can someone tell me if this looks correct for 71 Buick Skylark? I need to cut the firewall out again. If any one can post a picture of a 70-72 Skylark a/c car fire wall hole that would be great.

Id venture to guess that whatever modification the prior owner made to the firewall, its likely not finished or smoothed over on the interior side. Im other words, you can probably see the cutout of the original hole if you look from the other side?

Oh yeah i can, when i look under the dash i see the rivets they used to attach the sheet metal. I just wanted to make sure. Im not 100% this is a factory a/c car but im pretty damn sure.

and is it the evaporator that the hole is there for? the evaporator goes through the firewall?
