How long have you been working on this?

How long do you think it will be before you have it running?

What is your target date to take it to the strip?

I started to mock up the crank drive and where the Procharger would live, on the Nitrous motor last October. After pulling that motor, reconfigured the core support, and moving the 3 gallon aluminum fuel cell (after customizing it to now hold 6 gal.) to its new home behind the drivers side headlight, I tore the old motor apart, had to fix some broken stuff, and knock the compression down from 13.5 to 1 to 11.5. Then as fast as my wallet could go, started getting the pieces for this puzzle. Right now I’m waiting for all Holley Dominator ECU, Injector driver, smart coils, a few sensors (all old gauges are going to be converted to electric signals into the Holley stuff), and a few piles of wiring harnesses.. I can only go as fast as my wallet, and right now, it’s sitting on 4 flats!! I’ll still need to buy a bunch of fittings, and fab up all the fuel system lines... I’d hope to attempt a “start up” in 2 months or less. I’ll need to configure a bunch of stuff thru the Holley ECU, I’m positive the car will be smarter than me! With the learning curve, and COVID, time is on my side, so getting it down a track, 3 months or so, if I don’t run into any crazy problems.. Might be putting the motor in the car today, gotta check the “honey do” list first......

:) ...playing by the rules, so you get extra time for the Buick :)
Is the very first Picture (front of the car totalling the intake) photoshop? It looks great, you just have to make sure that you do not suck any unwanted stuff in (gitters, competitors,.. )
I will follow this thread and I am looking forward to hear the sound of the engine.

Nothing Photoshopped. It’s all from the mock up of the crank drive/ Procharger.

Got the motor set in yesterday. Regular job just cuts in to my “car time”. All Holley ignition stuff should get here in about 2 weeks....

You do that as soon as you go Buick. This guy stepped off the flat earth with this set up. Impressive to say the least. What do you have to change car wise to stay straight and safe?

Crank drive is installed permanently, Procharger is mounted, pretty sure I won’t have to take it off again.. Just trying to make everything happy in its new home, space is disappearing fast.. While driving back from my buddies welding shop, out of the blue, I thought “why run the radiator hose like that?” So now I have to make that change... It’s always something...

Back in the "day" I remember seeing nailheads with front drive blowers, believe it was Potvan (sp) set up. This was on a rail though. Bet that setup would suck up a cat pretty easily!

Not a bunch of progress... Fabbed up an aluminum 4 in intake ( I wish I could weld aluminum), got a longer drive belt for the fuel pump, messing with other stuff, picking up my complete Holley dominator and EFI stuff on Wednesday. Closer, but yet soooo far.....

Got the torque converter bolted up, not fun since the Procharger crank drive blocks the crank bolt. Got my back ordered oil filter mount, and got the inlet welded up, and a light polish, and the Big blow off valve mounted... Progress non the less!
