No coincidence [I find it quite funny that right now those NOS mats show up on e-bay (first set I've ever seen) after all this interest has been generated here. Nice timing..whats up with that??? ] You can blame that one on me, I know the seller and called to ask for his help with used mats or to sell me those mats but when I heard his price, I had to pass  and he was smart enough to put them on ebay before the new ones come out and he loses his butt on his. Those are NOS one's are sweet but I scored on some other mint ones today despite it all, and my friend charged me exactly NOTHING :TU: :beer Now THAT is class :TU: GOT THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!! FINALLY!!!!!!!:3gears: :beer :TU:  :Brow: :bglasses:
Oooooooooooooh yeh! Woke up this morning  and thought....."Did we REALLY, finally get those mats or was it a dream o No: Yep, it was real and they will be shipped out first of this week :TU:

Word? I was wondering if I can go ahead and order a set of the mats. John, thanks for all the hard work which was the "key" in getting these floormats reproduced. Bert
Status Stilll waiting on Legendary to call back. Going to be awhile it looks like as the mat project had to be put on the back burner during the SEMA show. As soon as I talk with them I'll let you know though.
Update on Floor Mats Please Hi All, Well, it's a new year being 2007. Anyone have an update on the availability of the floor mats we are all waiting for. Add me to the list for a set! Thanks and Happy New Year! Rob
Legendary is supposed to contact me this month now that they should be caught up from the SEMA show. Hope to hear from them very soon.
Hi Bill, Don't worry, haven't given up. Well, gotta admit I am getting a little worn down on all this but I haven't given up yet. I have been promised that they will start discussing this with me in February. They did say they want to make these for us but they had the SEMA show as the initial conflict, and now it is preparations for their new catalog. I'm pretty confident they will make our dream come true, but obviously they have to keep their priorities straight to generate and maintain their business. The biggest problem is after months and months of discussing this (mats have been boxed at my house for over 3 months) and then this long of a waiting period I'm going to probably need to review all 4 pages of comments, advice, specifics etc. May as well start now and review it if ya'll want to help me sweep out the cobwebs. So far here is what I plan to convey to them when we get into discussions. (1) We would like the mats to have the same backing as the original mats. They had asked about using an alternate method that would be cheaper to produce but I believe most of us agree we want them correct, as well as functional, and the original design works well . (2) We want the Tri Shield to be have more white in the color than reproductions seen in the past (no longer available). (3) We would like their range of colors to be available (they insisted on this themselves), although we understand that these will be the standard colors they offer for all brand mats and NOT a specific match to our original issued ones. Other than that I will need to negotiate with them on the mint black mats out of my friends low mile 1972 Sun Coupe. If my friend will allow me to work out a deal with Legendary to keep the mats that will remove the need for them to make "sub masters" that they require they have on hand for everything they reproduce. Basically they want the originals, or they make "Urethane sub masters" copies of the originals. He said that is fairly expensive to do, so keeping these originals will in turn affect the price we see one day when we open their catalog. Anyhow, I'm working on my buddy on that, hes just not wild about giving up his mint originals out of his investment. Just lucky he is being patient all this time too. Anyhow, that is about all I can think of at the moment, you can't hurt my feelings so if I forgot something or you thought of something else please share it while we have time to discuss it. Just so we don't have to dig through half a year of old posts here are the pictures of what is going to Legendary when we get the green light. Disregard the water and dust on the mats, they are actually very nice, just a quick picture I took after spraying them off the night I got home with them for reference. Thanks guys:beer Fritz out
P.S. On a totally selfish note: I have put several wanted ads out for used door panels with no luck for my 70 model car. Anyone? Help? Please?
