Automatic or manual? If manual consollete or no consolette? If automatic, do you need just the horseshoe shifter or the shifter and the console?
I should have been more clear. I’m converting an automatic from a column shift to a floor shift. I have a good console (minus mounting brackets and latch). I need the complete horseshoe shifter, cable, etc.
Guys, it appears that marketplace console has parts but does NOT include a shifter... as are MOST of the consoles you find on the market, Console but no shifter . . . MUST BE a ton of auto shifters out there somewhere! I myseff have 9 auto consoles and 1.5 shifters. . . not quite sure how that happens .. . . Wheelz, Tampa Bay
Nope notchet... but IF I can find time to restore another console, I will offer it as a SHOWROOM RESTORED item... over the past 18-20 years, I've restored quite a few auto floor consoles and they have all been purchased by members here. . . here are a few pix. . . Wheelz, Tampa Bay
Wheels, I did an internet search for “Marketplace Console” & got nada. Are they a parts dealer? I need brackets & a courtesy light pigtail for my ‘65 automatic floor shift console & got happy for a minute when I thought a new vendor might be out there.
ahh well..looks like the original V8 member who "posted" the 'FB marketplace link' has deleted it... BTW, I may have a courtesy light for your 65.... is it for the CONSOLE? or underdash style?? explain. Wheelz, Tampa Bay
O' & BTW, not to get your HOPES UP, but, I received a box full of console and shifter PARTS in the trunk of Kenny462 Buick when it was shipped here from Colorado, for me to try to sell... THAT BOX, has a lot of parts/pieces, however, I have NOT had time to go thru it all PIECE BY PIECE to actually know if there is enuf parts for a shifter. . . may be..? maybe NOT. . ? wont know till I find time to dissect the contents. . . Whenever you have time! I need everything for the shifter. I do have a console. The only console parts I need are the Buick logo, and the “catch” for the lid button ( if that makes any sense). Thanks, Bob
Wheelz, I sent you a PM so I wouldn't hijack Bob's thread any more than I already have. I hope you're able to score a shifter, Bob!
No worries at all. I’ve got all the time in the world, and many other things on my Skylark that I can do. Whenever you get free time is fine with me. I do appreciate the heads up! Thanks, Bob
