I am getting ready to start filling the systems on the car with fluids. I have read all the posts I could find on engine and transmission fluid choices, but I would still like some input on power steering, brake and cooling system choices; as there seems to be many. I know often the answer is "any fluid", but it seems they don't carry that brand at my local Pep Boys. What they do carry is a lot of different brands including their own low price generic products. Has anyone every used CHF 11S Hydraulic fluid for power steering? What about for brake fluid? Should I use Dot 3 till after I check there are no leaks, then later switch to a synthetic or silicone since my car probably will not be a daily driver. Any thoughts on Dot 4 or Dot 5?

Would you use any of the cooling system additives like Red Line's Water Wetter of Royal Purple's Purple Ice, on a new system; or just go with regular anti-freeze and water till you see how the system is operating?

Any advice or opinions would be appreciated.
