    3shields Let's go, MOUNTAINEERS!!!

I ended up putting in a points-type distributor last weekend, and got it running. I bought a cheapie, remanufactured model from the local parts place, and it seems to be running fairly well. I set the initial timing at 10 degrees, and then with the vac hooked up it jumps up to 13/14 or so. At 2500 rpm though, it hits 41 degrees total advance. So, gonna have to pull it out and do some more work to it.

    Murphy Just Getting Started

Congrats Dwayne for getting the car up and going. It looks great. I know I didn't spend near as much time as you did when I was working on mine, but I do remember spending many hours out in the barn when it was @20 degrees out welding new floor panels in. There were times it seemed like I would never finish it for this summers driving. My wife thought I was crazy, But I wanted to drive it this summer, not spend the summer fixing it. I would have heavy insulated coveralls on, the concrete floor was very cold to lay on. Now this winter I have to finish the body work so it can be painted next spring. Another winter project.
    Congrats Again
