I purchased a non running project car at an auction - purchased on line site unseen other than a few photos. I went to see it and it is doable as a project. It is complete and on flat tires. They could be aired I think if a person lifted the car to give the tires a chance to pop out. They have period Dayton wire wheel mags.

Has key, has title. Key turns the wheel. See photos if I can attach. Needs to be removed soon, whole field where they were is about empty. Located near Yarmouth Iowa. Easy to load, I guess, lots of room.

You can call me at 515-520-2611.

I'm sure there is a 69 wildcat out there somewhere that could use that front bumper.

I decided to bring it home. Got a local guy to haul to Des Moines, paid him $400. When he went to pick up, they loaded it with an end loader (bad deal) When it arrived, the 4 brakes/hubs were seized and the tires were flat and as you can see it has Fenton wheels which require a lock tool to remove a wire wheel "hub cap". Well we could not get it off the trailer, so they took it with them and I paid them the $400, so I am out a total of $1000.

Kind of why I got out of the hobby. Not trying to be a Debbie downer, I was the one who did the on line bidding. I went to go see it and I should have stopped the bad karma then and saved the $400

It's still free. It's down by Osceola Iowa. They will pull it off. I don't expect any one will go get it.

It is a 69 Electra, not a 68 (see photos)

Still have access to that 69 hardtop in the West Texas El Paso Yard. would imagine that the entire floor of that convertible might need to be replaced, after 48 years in that climate. (Snow/salt). Yard will not sell entire car whole, (car here) but they probably would let someone pull out the entire frame/chassis, and the floors, with much of the upper areas cut away. As two separate sale deals. A tremendous amount of work, and this car was hit very hard in LR, and would suspect the convertible has unique floor bracing underneath its floor pans.

If you only lost $1k in the car hobby, you haven't even dipped your toe in that bottomless pool!! Ha if it's something you care about don't give up just consider it a learning experience and move on, now if your like me you make the same mistakes over and over and over ha

    Hello roadmaster49,
I have been looking for a project car and I am located in Cedar Rapids, IA. Is the Electra still available?
