Beautiful car. Bring it to the NJ picnic. It will be a big hit. Also, could you bring the rest of the Van Halen group with you:laugh:  .
Oops! My bad. Looked a little closer and it looks like a big block shroud, it's just so clean it threw me off. I DID notice that you are using an overflow tank. I'd like to do this eventually too, especially when it looks as tasteful as that. Obviously someone, if not you, took the time to make sure it didn't look tacky and it paid off. What year overflow jug is it, do you know? I see two hoses going to the top. Where are the origins and destinations?? Ken
Scott T., Ken Mild, John Schmidt Thanks everyone for the nice comments! Scott T. -Yes the car was just on e-bay and is for sale. But I am not going to give it away! Ken Mild- Thanks for the tip I do need to ajust the fan shroud some but have not gotten around to it yet! As for the overflow tank ....well it's the old windshield washer fluid tank!! It's works great and looks kinda stock!:TU: John Schmidt- thanks for the invite but I will be in Tenn. visiting family but I will try to make some others durring the summer!:beer George- if only my paint and body were as nice a yours!!:TU:
David, sure understand why you wouldn't want to give it away, glad you are here on the board and if it sells hope this board can put you in line with a new owner. To be honest with you my brother was very interested, he however really needs a ride with air conditioning or the bride won' let him buy it. Good luck David !!!
Very sweet! Hey David, This has sold me on aftermarket wheels. I've been debating on AR wheels versus original rallyes & now i know what i'm putting on my 69GS. I've been thinking about Torque Thrust II's & these. What kind of Edelbrock intake is that & is the q-jet stock or performance modified? Did you have any clearance problems with the intake, or did you have plenty of room to spare? My hat is off to you for a very nice restification!:beer
Fresh Resto Thanks Rick, The intake is the Edelbrock Preformer it is the only aftermarket intake that I know of that will fit under the stock Ram Air set-up fro these cars. I sent the Q-jet to California and had it rebuilt for preformance. The Torque Thrust II look good but cost more and EVERYBODY has them so I went with the Hopster's, if you look back at the thread I give the wheel & tire size. I have a set of 14 inch stock wheels also and they are cheep, that way I have the best of both worlds!:bglasses:
Make me an after picture..... Hi David, Incredibly sharp car! Folks who don't like '68-'69 cars have to take a second look at this one! Hey, here is my before picture, how about making it an "after" example for me? :beer
Hey Brian I have been looking for a cov. project !!! Just let me know when you get tired and I can take over.:Brow:
