Front end torque Specs (control arms etc.)

    tubecatgs Finally a 4 speed......

    I can't seem to find the torque specs for my 72 Skylark convertible front end. Will be re-installing the control arms, springs shocks etc this weekend and hoping someone might have all the specs their willing to share :) .

    Not sure what you call the bolts/arms that attach the upper control arms to the frame and on the end of that shaft but any tips (besides correct shim replacement) to get that aligned? Am I just trying to make sure that shaft is centered from left to right? (I didn't measure it before I removed it :( .....

    Make sure you torque with the car at ride position. If you don't the bushings will wear quick.

    yeah thanks... I found that out after I did the rear bushings and before I did the front... I have the front all installed and "snug". once the motor goes in I will torque them. there are "0" miles on the rear, so I might loosen them up and re-torque them when the motor is back in as well.
