Ok, I am not sure what happened, but I
Added a tach to the 70 Buick Skylark. It wired up fine, but in the process my electric fuel pump is acting up. ( I accidentally unplugged the connection to the fuse box , and forgot to reconnect when restarting the car to check the tech)

Here is the symptoms.. car is hard to start and when it starts the rpms jump up like I have the electric choke fully engaged and fuel pressure dips low (2-3 psi).. now I am sure I bumped or undid something, but can’t see what I did.. anything sticking out?

    Thanks

There should be a relay in there. The fuel pump power should not come directly from the fuse block.

Ugh! Larry you called it! Still electrical wiring aside, the car was running good until today..
I tried to adjust the regulator and it said dropped to 0 psi! However, that can’t be accurate as it is idling at 1600 rpm. I know fuel is leaning out but why? It seems like an awfully funny issue to have from wiring the tach

It's hard to help not knowing what you disconnected. Is the fuel pump running if you simply turn the key to run without starting the engine?

Yes, when I turn it over it starts no specific switch hit, so no relay

Remove the tachometer wiring from the coil and power source and see if things go back, ground????

Is it possible the electric choke power got disconnected? That would make the choke stay on.

Is the fuel psi gauge liquid filled?
