Only thing slow about a GN is the windows, so Gbodyparts.com is selling these "Window Racers" to speed things up. Just wondering what any here thought -- it does seem like it might not be great for the existing window motors, but heck if I know. https://gbodyparts.com/product_info.php?products_id=3539&osCsid=e6ce52d059054aafd93dedfdcea5029e Thoughts? -- Steve
It probably works on the same concept as a fuel pump hot wire kit. Gives the motors more voltage than they would normally see. That's the only way to get the windows up and down faster. I think the slow window symptom is called "carthritis"
I assumed as much regarding voltage, as the link states amperage goes down. It also states that none of this is harmful to the window motors. That's the part about which I am curious.
Motors are probably rated for 16 or 18 volts so the little boxes are stepping up the 13-14 volts normally available to that max rating. Pulling the door panels and cleaning/lubing the tracks/guides will do wonders too.
