Seems my GV isn't working after my converter install. From what I can tell from the manual, the Green light tells the GV to shift to OD, so if the bulb blows, no OD. There are 2 lights, a red and a green. The Red is supposed to come on with the foot switch, ignition on, and at 40 MPH, the red goes out and the green comes on, and it shifts. After the converter install, the red came on, but no OD, and no green light. I tested the bulb and it looks blown. Then shortly after, the other bulb blew. So now I need 2 bulbs. Not sure if they are commonly available or I need to call GV. Hope not, but they are closed until Monday. I have power and ground to the control box, just no lights now. Very frustrating. I tried Googling the markings on the bulbs, but no luck. Anyone ever see a bulb like this? Markings look like 5384? P12, 1, 2

Looks like an 84 automotive bulb to me but I'm sure it can't be that simple.
    They're like $0.49 everywhere...

Went over to Autozone. It looked like a 73, 74 ,or 37 bulb. They all looked the same. I bought the 74 bulbs. Just tested them with my jump pack and they both work. See what happens when I plug everything back in.:)

How Long has your car been sitting?

If I don't put the heater in my truck and let it sit for long periods ( rainier season) It does the same thing. In out in out in out

About 3 months sitting. I took it for a long drive. It kept doing the same thing so I just turned it off. The lights are very erratic also. The green comes on right away as soon as I move, then the red comes on and the green goes out. Then at 40 MPH, it feels like it shifts, but goes right out, and the red light comes back on. It never did any of this before, just started after the converter install.

    3 months. oh ya.
Try putting a 100 watt ish light close to the brain box. not the one you see.. the one you hid ( behind the glove box or wherever ) draw the the moisture out.

Works every time. I use that air dryer sold at marine supply stores.

wonder if the pulse generator got damaged when you had the transmission out. I've installed one and only had the little trouble shooting on it to get it going.........best to just call Monday,

I doubt that it's the bulbs causing it to not work. I didn't want to mount that switch assembly under the dash, so I used two led's in my center console with a toggle switch and mine works fine. If I drive under a normal acceleration, it comes on at 40 mph. If I put it in low and manually shift the trans, it will go 1st, 1st over, 2nd, 2nd over, and 3rd, 3rd over. I used my original dimmer switch on the floor instead of the supplied switch. I just use it to turn it on and off but if I use the floor switch while driving, it only comes on in 3rd gear at 40 mph. I don't know how or why, but I assume that the supplied switch panel had more going on inside it than I thought and I no longer have it to look at. I assumed that the floor and panel switches were just two different ways of turning it on and off, but they are not. If I use the floor switch and move the toggle switch, it doesn't seem to work correctly if they aren't in the right positions. I would try different switch combinations and see what happens. Since I know everything because I've been a mechanic for 39 years:D, I didn't really study the instructions, I just glanced them over, but mine works fine. Sometimes luck is better than smarts!

It wasn't the bulbs, but it was very strange that they both burned out one after the other. Both bulbs are working now, but it is doing some strange things. The green light is going on and off and the unit still engages and then disengages. It also blew the fuse yesterday. I'll have to check all the wiring especially where it goes through the firewall. It may have rubbed through somewhere. I replaced the fuse and it hasn't blown again.
