I really like Mahomes, not trying to be bandwagon or anything as I'm a Chessehead for life,..but man that kid is good In so many ways, very impressive. Very composed and not easily rattled in 5yrs he will be ridiculous. Very polite and intelligent as well
Best way to beat the Pats is PSI, Brady doesn't do well under duress, yea he'll burn you through first couple times but after he wears some turf the int start happening
The Chiefs are looking like they aren't prepared for what they're going up against. Mahomes reminds me a lot of Russell Wilson. When he escapes and makes amazing plays, it's great. But when he takes a sack, it isn't simple 3 yard loss. It's more like 8-10 yards. It's tough going from 2nd and 5 to 3rd and 13. Although I don't watch much Patriots, their defense seems to be really stepping up in this one. And as much as I hate the Patriots, it's going to be tough for KC to turn this around.
Mahomes will learn to throw the ball away with time, in his mind he can get away and make the play. He's young and makes rookie mistakes but he also will stand in and throw like a vet he's still finding his style I feel like
Yeah, although technically in his second year. Wilson has gotten better throwing it out of bounds, but he still takes some horrible sacks. The multiple arm angles, left-hand throwing (!?), and ability to stay calm shows that he's nowhere near his ceiling. But the biggest problem is that the window is tight before he gets his next contract. Unlike Wilson, who started with a 4 yr/$3M contract, Mahomes is already chipping into the salary cap more. But it won't be long before that goes way up! And when that happens, you start losing other star players. I love Mahomes - glad I got him on my fantasy team "Mahomes Schooled."
