I have an 8.5 rear that I would like to install in one of my 67 Skylarks, I also have a 12 bolt that I would like to install in one of my T-types. The question is: Does anybody out there make upper bars to adapt these to the respective cars? I have heard that SSM (South Side Machine) has gone under, and that they made these. I know someone will question this, so: the 12 bolt has a 4-series carier in it with too much gear for the 67, and the 8.5 has the gear I want in the 67. ou: Any help appreciated. SSM made them...............we were down this road before on another thread here on these dudes going out of business. I know they had moved and the number changed.......I can't remember what we had ever found out.
