Hey guy, new guy here. On my way to my first Buick ever that wasn't a thin skinned turbo car. Basically what I am doing is taking a V code 72 that is COMPLETELY rusted out and throwing everything into a 70 Roller that I just picked up. The 72 has the original WS engine with a ton of older Poston stuff on it and the reciept for the rebuild calls out a 498 stroker. I know how to build a 496 BBC, so not sure how they got there with a Buford. She runs good but every time you hit a bump, your feet get covered with rust chips. No floor, no trunk, no firewall, no fenders, no lower doors, and quarters are shot. Only thing I know about the 70 is that the body is incredible. Id say 99% metal in the car. But just a roller. It has a Chevy 12 bolt in it which I can use on something else. Both are Flint cars and both are convertibles. I'll try to keep my questions common sense, and I mean try. I won't ask what is faster, a Stage 1 or a Hemi. I'll let you know. I'll get pictures figured out quick. Andy
So what body style is the 70 roller? You posted a pic of a Mopar which is cool and I dont have a problem with putting a BBB into it.
Both are convertibles. Not putting the Chevy in the 70. Swapping everything except dash into the 70 from the 72. The 67 GTX is a J code Hemi car. Might not put the Buick in it.
Welcome to v8buick! Is the '72 a Skylark? Where are you from? I might be interested in what's left of the '72 and haul it away for you if its a Skylark is you're in Michigan or close?
I'm in MAGA Country. West Palm Beach. The 72 Vert has a good frame, good interior, and nice trim. Even the GS hood is roached on the thing.
Welcome ! Sounds like you will be busy... Hey im in lake worth and there are several other Buick wackos i know in the area water boy has a buick get together in February in Palm Springs ... im sure he will post it soon
