Hi. I would like to find original looking wiring harness tape with good quality for my wiring harness on top of the engine (firewall to ignition). People “on google” seem to like Plymouth Automotive Tape, original provider for GM. https://www.opgi.com/bonneville/WR16133/ also on Jegs. Then we have http://www.americanautowire.com/shop/harness-tape and http://www.oldbuickparts.com/cart/wiring-harness-tape-p-7329.html Some mentions Scotch 33 and 88. But what would you recommend? Thanks Note to myself: "Because the non-adhesive harness tape is not sticky, it will unravel with time unless you “lock down” the ends where you start and end the wrapping. Use 3M Friction Tape #3407NA for this. It a black fabric tape like the OEM stuff you found when you unwrapped the harness."
I would love to offer you these three unused rolls. I ended up buying new harnesses. Two rolls of Elliott ET 301 vinyl non adhesive tape, just like in this link. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-Rolls-Fac...arness-Friction-Tape-OEM-NOS-OE-/190822732954 One roll of 3M Friction Tape seen here http://www.ebay.com/itm/3M-80611604...370944?hash=item2380007cc0:g:brQAAOSw2gxYxyRs All three shipped to you for $15. I used 3M friction tape on some of the harnesses associated with the power windows - seemed quite similar to OEM. I would be hard pressed to tell you what was new/old after a few years. More trained eyes might not be fooled. It's under my rear seat so I'm comfortable with the "risk" ;_)
