I remember the very first time I towed a car on a car trailer......think it was in the late 70's, and it was a 65 Buick btw.

I had it loaded the same way your car is on the trailer....backwards. I didn't get more than 10 miles down the interstate and came down a long hill................Holy Hell!!!!...I ABOUT STAINED MY DRAWERS!!! Luckily I didn't crash and die that day. I learned a lot then about proper tongue weight and "how to" and ' how NOT to" tow a vehicle!

Perhaps there's no engine in this car? Then...not so bad, but if there is I hope you'd take some friendly advise and never tow that way again. It's dangerous.

    HOLY Hell YEAH!!
    There is engine.
    There was a down hill.
And i am still cleaning my pants;)
May I say that was not many minutes after the hill on that way.
    And NEVER again.
    But thanks for advice
And you folks there, dont tow backwards!

Back in the 60s many things now standard were optional. These include heater, radio, padded dash, outside rear view mirrors, etc. The base dash was metal with no pad. I do not think seat belts were mandated until maybe 1968.

Welcome! Where are you located? (Re: Got my -65 skylark)

Dear FINKaiser and V-8 Buick lovers,

    Welcome to V-8 Buick! [IMG]

Wow your car has traveled almost 1/4 the circumference of the earth! There are European plates on trailer and van, so exactly where are you located in Europe?

You might try using this cowl plate decoder:

    http://www.65gs.com/vin.html

You might find it easier to follow.

    Once more welcome!

    Cheers, Edouard :beer

Since you have a Fremont plant car, some of your car's build is encoded in the 16301 sequence. Unfortunately, the decode for this plant's coding has been lost in time.
