I'd recommend as original as possible. My GSX never had a problem. If need be, raise the front stance, and rear too if necessary for your roads. Hope you are enjoying it.
Ive got a fiberglass front spoiler on a stock suspension car on 255 60 15s all around. The spoiler does not hang low enough to hit a parking block/curb. Especially not a pot hole or bump in the road.
Funny thing with factory spoilers is there are two factory types that mount different in the middle. One type requires drilling the middle hole in the core support. The other type requires drilling the hole for the center screw in the middle core support brace forward of the core support. There are even at least two factory diagrams showing both types. The 71 assembly manual shows the type you drill the core support itself. I have two factory diagrams from 70 showing both types. I have one of Duane's spoilers and it is the type that goes trough the center support.
what is everyone's thoughts on installing on a racecar that see's 134-5 mph?with or without baffle? i have one and thought about it.
Hope this entry is seen. I put a GSX front spoiler on several years ago & would like to replace it. I think that the original ones just covered the width of bumper, but other ones (like mine) are wider & go out to and attach under the front fender lip . I think this one is made of ABS plastic & has taken curb abuse. But duhh...I don't remember from where I purchased it, would really appreciate it if someone will reply where I can purchase that type GSX front spoiler. Thanks.
They are all the same...there was an aftermarket one made years and years ago that was garbage and too narrow.....the parts place has a nice correct sized reproduction
But you have it backwards.....original and correct ones extend to the fenders and attach IN FRONT of the fender brace
