planning to repaint the gsx ,but the black stripes / semi gloss black is the killer . would like to clearcoat the whole car ,white,red and black all at one time. but afraid the black would be to glossy and look unnatural. any ideas to over come this and have a nice stripe job?
do whole paint job, then mask off areas that will have stripes, wetsand, solvent wash, remask, spray.......... this is what i think, not sure however
A buddy of mine has a '72 Super Bee with the flat black area on the hood. He shoots Sherwin-Williams in his shop. When he reshot the black area, they used a flat clearcoat. It's not regular clear with flattening agent in it, he said it's flat clear. I think it's something recently introduced in the last year or so. Looks natural.
