Can someone post pictures of a 65 lark or special with the halo trim painted in two tone. I want to see how it looks. Thanks.
Probably not a great picture of the halo roof considering I wasn't really taking it specifically of the roof, but it might give you an idea of what it looks like. I get tons of compliments on the Halo roof everywhere I go. So many people have never seen anything quite like it. Considering it was only a 2 year option on a Buick, I'm not surprised.
Wow that is nice. Did you choose those colors or did it come out of the plant like that? Because the color choise is a very nice one.
What other year and models had the halo option. I thought when I bought my skylark they all had the halo. When I found out I was bummed out thinking i had a subpar basic low option package but I know now that's not the case. I need to bring my car over to my house so I could see it and plan the colors out.
My car has it's original colors on it. I think it's called Sierra Mist Metallic, or Sahara Mist but I can't recall the paint code offhand. I can look at it tomorrow if you want. The car was bought new in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and had never been out of the state until I bought it in 2003. I has had only one repaint, in 1998, but still has the original paint on the door jambs and inside the trunk. `64 and `65 were the only years that had the halo roof option, something I always liked and wanted. I chose a `65 because I like the taillights that go all the way across the rear.
The taillight are what sold me too. No rush on the paint code but please whenever you can. Gold, green, purple, black, and other colors are floating around in my head
Code S: Sahara Mist Metallic on the body Code C: Arctic white on the roof I've always thought a burgundy or maroon, or even a dark green metallic with a tan halo roof would look really nice.
You're welcome Ronnie, and thanks for the compliment. My car came from the factory with Arctic white top and body and the halo trim. I've been thinking about going teal body with possibly arctic white top. Should look good with the black bucket interior.
