    Are they both on top of the manifold? One on each side? I was thinking one of them might be the starter wire shield

    My car didn't come with them and the spare engine I bought had them just laying ontop of the engine, no wires except the odd spark plug wire.

    Yeah, they line up and mount with the valve cover bolts to help shield your harness from the heat.
