I am replacing the heater core on my '72 Stage 1 with A/C, is this heater core the same one that is used on Chevelle, GTO, 442 ?

Ihope this question is on the correct forum.

    Thank you,
    John

    from that thread:

so a recore is $155 to $185 vs. $52.11 for a new one
plus the shipping from new zealand to the us and back for the recore

From what I have seen, the new ones are aluminum and the originals are brass.

so, a new one is cheaper and the car will be faster because of the weight reduction: win/win! :p:D;)

    Ken - Brass/Copper is available.
Best is to recore a Harrison - see above thread.

    Thank you for your replies.

This on from Ecklers looks like it is brass. For me to get my one re-cored here is around $260
