am I right in thinking that this hose coming from the water pump should be 3/4 ?it has a 5/8 on it now . I pulled the other end from the heater core at the passenger side (3/4 one) and was really hard to get off obviously . should I just swap it for a 3/4 one which will fit the core properly . thanks
So the end in the water pump is probably on there fairly tight . I’m wondering why a 5/8 hose was used . It’s probably why the 3/4 port on the core was leaking because some muppet forced it on and weakened it causing it to leak from the join . Thanks
Well it cost me a 5 hour job changing the core out today . $32 for the core but knocked $500 off the asking price of the car so not all bad
