the GT-37 was heavy tech'd and it passed.

the red olds is the 73 442 from "the chicago crew"

I know there were several people who received letters that their cars were to be heavy tech'd. I also know several people/cars (that didn't receive a letter) during the event were heavy tech'd, especially since this was the first year the 73 442 participated.

Haven't seen the MCR, but as Chris posted, my uncle Jim's maroon 73 442 was heavy teched on its first year. The 14.2 ETs must have been a surprise... It was for us too. The 455 is a 30 year old rebuild... Unknown compression (whistled less than 9:1), J heads (junk), stock everything, timing advance was jacked, working AC, 2.5" exhaust and 2.73 gears. Gotta love that torque... I think heavy tech was giving him ideas for how to make it faster, haha...

    Mr. Clary
It looks like the organizers are trying to totally ignore your important question. I guess if your close friends with some of the organizers your able to get a free pass to do anything to your car. Because I seen about six other cars that should of been checked. And they wouldn't of passed this so called heavy tech horse and pony show they put on every year. I wonder why they never call in a certain Road Runner for heavy tech. Oh wait a minute, I forgot, that's where the friendship rule comes into play. Keep up the great questions Mr. Clary. I enjoyed watching you thrash on your beautiful 1969 300 Deluxe. Especially when you put that so called pure stock 442 on the trailer. That was cool as hell!!!!!!

Maybe the psmcdr was paying attention when we did a heavy tech at our race? Mahoneys RR, Key's GTX and Bob"s Cuda were all teched and passed. Valve spring pressure, compression, cam lift, etc,etc.. It's fair to say we had a heavier tech than the psmcdr.
Dan was involved with our tech and he seen all these guy's pass first hand. Just saying.......
There is not one guy in the top 8 who can't pass the tech we have in place, plain & simple. Everyone of these guy have done their home work and spent some serious cash. They will not get booted for spring pressure, cubes, compression, cam lift. No way

Was that 2011 or 2012? I don't think Dan was paying too much attention because we had Copo Pete's car in there at the same for the heavy tech at Martin, but then it was pulled again this fall at the PSMCDR.:Do No:

If you want to jump on the brakes, you could have left the green car the way it was 15 years ago, and never bothered with this stupid pure stock stuff!?!?

Yes the White Camaro was heavy teched at martin of 2012.

Then was teched this past Stanton race.

I dont have a problem with them teching the car. BUT..

1 car was noticed running with illegal tires in the top 8 this past stanton. And was able to run all 3 pass's saturday.

I think it would be fair the quick 6-8 cars all get heavy teched regaurdless. Check the quick stuff even, Tires, Cubes and compression. Then Role them out. I realize it takes time, but it keeps a equal playing field and people are all treated equal. And if everything is treated equal, everyone is happy. If you are caught with something that doesn't pass. Your DQ'd, See you next year. No hard feelings. We all know the rules. Just check the same things on all cars. No picking and choosing for certain cars.

    OWEN.
