Hi all, many thanks for accepting my request to join these forums. I am from the UK, born and bred in Lancashire up in the North West but now living down South in Berkshire. I have owned around 12 various makes of classic American cars in the last 32 Years, 2 Vettes and 2 Roadrunners amongst them. I now have my first Buick which I bought almost 2 Years ago. It's a 1966 Wildcat Gran Sport Custom. I bought it from a guy in Central England, who had it imported from Oklahoma 7 Years ago and in the 5 Years he owned it he only put 155 miles on it. She is in original condition, having had some accident damage to the nearside front hood at some time and having a blow over of paint on the repair, complete with authentic Oklahoman hail damage Saddle mist/Shell beige paint with light fawn trim. She is in need of body and paint, new weatherstripping and the bumpers need a rechrome too. It's a daunting task and I dread to think of how much I'll end up putting into her but she deserves some TLC and the Mrs is almost on board with things I have put around 2,500 miles on the clock during the time I've had her and already had a major repair bill when after hearing a weird noise from the nearside rocker cover, oil blowing from the oil breather cap it was discovered that she had bent a valve. Had the heads done and when put back together noticed a noisy lifter, on inspection only one of the 16 rocker arms was correct. I bought new rocker arms, lifters and push rods and installed them myself and now she runs sweet. I am in need of a few parts but so far had no success in tracking them down, but I'll keep on searching. If you got his far, many thanks for reading, I meant to keep it short but there ya go Regards, Paul.
