Recently purchased a 72 Buick Skylark Suncoupe. Beginning to restore. Had some minor body work done and am looking for info on replacing the vinyl suntop. It has a couple cracks in the vinyl and it seems that the top has shrunk and the runners are showing. Ive not seen another Suncoupe up close to know what its supposed to look like. I want to have it replaced but Im scared to take it to just anyone in case they don't have experience working with this type of top. Has anyone had this work done? Any suggestions for me?
have same problem but I have no canvas or frame just hole.. Noticed this came out in 2008. Have you had any luck finding something?
I can help with this including a top assembly along with material for the top. The handle is the tough part and its being worked on at this time. It's possible that there might be someone with a few repo handles left over from when Jim Poston had them done.
