Pulled the inner fender of the 'lark today, to pull the blower motor. Noticed this vac line hanging down. I can't see where the loose end goes,or is it supposed to hang there?

I can't see where the other end goes too looks like it disapears into the firewall. Too dark to see now.

    All help gratefully received.

    Thanks,

    Chris

I think it's the line that goes to the vacuum canister on the firewall for AC.

Vacuum hose thru the firewall? How about to the washer nozzles?

Thanks for the help guys. I can blow & suck through it so its not capped. All the heat/ air distribution functions were working OK before I started.

Just thought of it as I typed the above. Brain storm!:Smarty: It must be the line to the vac heater valve. I notice my 'lark is missing that, & I've seen plenty of pics of cars with one.

    The length is correct, location,etc.

Mystery solved!! Now to find where it hooks up to on the heater control. That's a job for another day. Want to get the brakes, instrument restore & clock sorted first.

    Sweeeeeet!

    Cheers,

    Chris
