Looking for a decent dash pad, any color, for a '66/'67 Skylark/Special. Mine is dry and chunked along all the cracks, just not salvageable. I'm ok with re-covering a dash as long as I've got something to work with. I'd prefer to clean and dye one though. Text me at 704.324.1013 if you've got one. Obviously I'd prefer better condition than worse. Thanks! ~Neil

Yes, I've refinished around a dozen dash pads using the same methods, but I'm trying to avoid it if at all possible. Thanks!

Ouch! $480? I wonder why they're double just about every other dash pad.

That is likely less than “just dashes” in California

I have actually successfully wrapped a few dashes myself after watching the videos on their site. Very interesting process. Now, I didn't use thermo-formed vinyl or anything, but I have had a good bit of success with cloth-backed vinyl over an original core. If I can't find a good dash pad for my '66 I'll probably have to put the hours in to make the one I've got work.

May as well add a few parts to my "wish list" rather than start a new thread...

1966 Skylark rear bumper, front bumper, and steering wheel. Driver quality is fine. My bumpers are pretty mangled, so I'd be content with straight.

Yes, priced a 66 dash pad with them a few years ago. $900-$1000 and about a 3 month wait.

I have a black 66 dashpad in NC if you are still looking for one. Came out of a car I parted 25 years ago. In the Mocksville/Statesville area. Won't ship it--they are too fragile to ship--been there and tried that before!

I live in Kannapolis, work in Salisbury, so absolutely doable! And definitely interested! 704-324-1013

I'd be fine with driver quality. I'm not building a show car or anything. Maybe someday, but for now I just want to get it back on the road. Yeah, I'd love some pics! Thanks!

    Neil,
I have a black dash pad with one crack. Lower end where it turns down the side of the dash. Probably cannot even see it once installed. I have a new repoped steering wheel in black also. And I probably have a rear bumper but would need rechromed. And plenty other parts. Sold my 66 GS and trying to vacate the 66 parts. I wouldnt know about shipping the dash pad....Last one didn't end well and UPS never made it right.

    Todd
