Troy, the bread loaf thing is hilarious! I always laugh at the milk/bread/eggs freaks whenever we're gonna get a few flakes. Gotta make that french toast when it snows or else! Sucky thing for me is I'm having a malfunction in my new generator, haven't had time to straighten it out. We tend to lose power easy here so that's butt puckering, and we're not even supposed to get the hard stuff like the northeast.
Larry--after seeing these maps, the Mayor is looking for a bigger hovercraft for you. What is the max width for a NYC street like, say, Broadway?
Larry --the Mayor just located and ordered this one to be pulled out of mothballs. It has been tested so we know it will fit the NYC streets:
Snow started late last night but not much accumulation here. I was on the road around midnight. The roads were snow covered but not really slippery. It's been snowing all day but there is only about an inch or two here. Winds are strong, from the east, and snow is blowing more so than accumulating.
Man, I got up early and got my generator straightened out today in preparation for this round of the great white icey death, and we still got nothin. Whatta tease.....
Tricky forecast in terms of getting the exact area of coverage precisely defined. Somebody is going to get the ice. Rejoice that it was not your area and you are now prepared with a generator.
We should be getting about 18+ inches of snow tonight and tomorrow. Also freezing rain with a high of 14. Tractor is ready to go. It's 7 degrees now and still dropping.
At Ft. Lauderdale airport. So far, we are on time for a 7:55 departure. Looks like windswept rain for NYC, but no snow. So far, so good.
Went out to clear driveway last evening. There was a bit more than I had originally thought. More had accumulated during the day. Drifted so the closest I can figure here is about 3-4". Light powder, easy to move. Very cold and still windy so I got done and back inside. Sunny and cold today.
