Got 6-8" here in Western Massachusetts as predicted. It's been raining for an hour or so and it's going to be good and crusty later when I take the blower out.

The good news is there does not appear to be any ice accumulation on anything so far. Hope it stays that way.

Just landed at JFK, a bit bumpy on the way down but I’ll take it. Temps in the 40’s, no rain or snow at present.

Larry —I hope the Mayor has not inflated Mr Croc in vain.

Very much agreed Jim. My post was very much tongue in cheek, I didn't want the ice! We got a few inches of powdery snow and a little ice from the rain that fell prior to the temperature plummeting, but nothing major.

Thanks for the continued weather event notifications/updates Jim, I find your models to generally be more accurate than the local hacks.

We had 6 inches of snow as of 5:00 pm Yesterday. Glad that I have a snow blower even if it is a small unit but it works well.

We ended up getting 5-6 inches of snow. We had a "blizzard" for a couple of hours last night. I had to venture out to get my son from work right in the middle of the storm. I have NEVER had so little of visibility in a snow storm. Even with only a few inches of snow I could not see the road and drove off the edge a few times. I never saw 5 mph, ended up turning around and parking for another 20 minutes letting my truck warm up further. I then went a different direction trying to stay out of the direct, in your face, blowing snow. We successfully made it home, wow, what a relief. Hope everyone is surviving! it is 11 deg here and I now need to go clear 12- 20" snow drifts off my 1/4 mile drive. This is definitely a 3 loafer!

Fine ice pellets right now and temps are staying lower than predicted which is great because the ice is just bouncing off everything instead of sticking.

Larry--the wind has started to howl down here. It must be blowing big up there in NYC.

Lucked out again. Appalachians deflect western storms north of Mason-Dixon, we have to watch for ones that sneak up east side from south. Cold. 10 with chill at 0...

We got about 6-8 inches here but by the time I was getting off to head home,it started to sleet. It was windy here as well. For about 6-7 hours visibility was very bad.Pa got smart and had a CDL vehicle ban and a 45 mph speed limit. Still, several non english speaking truck drivers attempted to drive. Many of them got stopped and were hit with a $400 fine..Now we are at 5* but were at 0 this am.

Incredibly LI got no snow. Rained all day, the sun came out just briefly and everything dried up. Streets are dry this AM but its gotta be 10 degrees out. They're saying we will be back at 45 by Weds.

Dony worry, before you know it, we'll be at Bellmore cruise night in shorts and sandals bitching about how hot and humid it is! While Bruno passes out his home grown tomatoes! And did you ever drive a 4 speed car in sandals? Its harder than it looks!

If you went up the road a bit to Albany, the white plague struck.

Jason--is there any way that you could give Larry a hand? Mr. Croc is now frozen in place, still inflated.

Larry told me that he was busy carrying buckets of hot water around in an unheated warehouse in an attempt to thaw Mr. Croc.
